From the humble beginnings for providing opportunities to Malaysians for knowledge and to assist on improving livelihood, Shen Jai Education Group (SJEG) had its earliest presence through the establishment of Shen Jai High School in 1959. It was followed by the establishment of Shen Jai School of Commerce in 1969, to further provide especially business and commerce related knowledge to targeted groups of which many were from the less fortunate Malaysian families, who were at that time struggling for a good living, and with hope that education could bring better change to their livelihood and future.
Over the years, SJEG remained as a trusted brand in providing education opportunity, where many especially those from the B40 community has reckoned SJEG’s establishments as a true community-considerate effort, providing not only affordable quality education, but also allowing a platform and opportunity for them to obtain knowledge and further their studies, in hope through it can further allow elevation or betterment of livelihood!
As time went by, many further developments took place and SJEG’s group structure was eventually formalised in year 2019. The group then took a bold step in consolidating the physical presence of all its establishments to the main site now, located in Ipoh Garden South. This strategic move apart from allowing more flexibility in education related planning, it also in a way made SJEG more accessible by the community of Ipoh, Perak.
At present, SJEG owns and manages 2 private institution of higher learning, namely <a href=”<<pls link to the relevant subsidiary page>>”>Kompas International College (KIC) and Shen Jai Tvet College (SJTC). </a>, which are established, approved and governed under the necessary governance laws and ministries of Malaysia. Recent years saw both KIC and SJTC aggressively growing with now a wide range of programme offerings is available to prospects and potentials.
SJEG strongly believes for the need to cross-blend traditional classroom knowledge learning with the modern practical work-based learning, for the proper development of individuals both good in theoretical understanding and with sound practical hands-on skill sets desired by the industry. Such believe has also led SJEG to, in recent years, further invested in other commercial related setup to support their education establishment’ needs. Authentique Restaurant and Bake&Take Bakery and Patisserie are examples of commercial establishments owned by SJEG to allow better execution of SJEG’s practical industry centric approach vision.
Presently, SJEG remained as one of the fast growing strong education conglomerate especially in the Northern Region of Malaysia. Many awards and recognitions have been obtained either by SJEG’s individual establishments or the group as a whole, pertaining to aspects such as quality and achievements, indication of the market’s acceptance of SJEG’s effort, brand and existence.
Quality education remains the core central focus of SJEG, with a clear stressing that it should be of equal opportunity, achieving the main goal of developing holistic individuals and mindset, and leading to securing of a future career pathway for a prosperous career development.
